The "new kid on the block" on Surry Hills’ Crown Street is, ironically, anything but standard.
The Standard Store opened its doors in September 2011, and stocks otherwise difficult-to-locate brands and an assortment of sought after pieces. The fashionable owners, Nicola and Orlando Reindorf, expertly select each item that is featured in store. Thanks to years under their belt in the fashion industry, the pair stock a variety of both American and European labels.
From swimwear to umbrellas, footwear to ties, this anything-but-standard store is sure to have whatever a Shoppingbird’s heart desires. The front windows of the store always showcase local talent, and the interior of the store is an artistically designed space with a great deal of ambiance.
